Jalapeño Popper Inspired Cheese Ball Recipe
Ingredients
2 packages (8 oz each) of slightly softened cream cheese
2 tbsp of sour cream
¾ tsp of garlic powder
½ tsp of onion powder
¼ tsp of freshly ground black pepper
2 cups of shredded sharp cheddar cheese (set aside ½ cup for later)
10 slices of crispy cooked bacon, chopped (reserve half for later)
2 jalapenos, finely chopped (keep half aside)
½ cup of chopped green onions (reserve half for later)

Instructions
Step 1:
In a mixing bowl, use either a stand or hand mixer at medium speed to blend the cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Step 2:
Switch to low speed and gently mix in 1 ½ cups of the cheddar cheese, half of the chopped bacon, half of the jalapenos, and half of the green onions.
Place the remaining cheddar, bacon, jalapenos, and green onions in a small zip-lock bag and refrigerate.
Step 3:
On your countertop, spread out a large piece of plastic wrap.
Place the cheese mixture in the center and form it into a ball shape.
Use the plastic wrap to cover and shape the cheese mixture into a firm ball.
Chill it in the refrigerator overnight.
Step 4:
About 20 minutes before serving, take the cheese ball out of the refrigerator.
Spread the reserved cheddar cheese, bacon, jalapenos, and green onions on a cutting board or large plate.
Unwrap the cheese ball and roll it in the reserved toppings to coat it evenly.
